Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
I was once told that suicide is a tragic death that is 100% preventable. It’s something that I can’t stop thinking about, because I couldn’t agree more. Although, my heart still aches and I continue to struggle many days adapting to life and living life without my brother, Mike. He is my reason behind my efforts and ambition to promote HOPE to those who surround me. I firmly believe that HOPE is offered to all of us, but some of us struggle to see that HOPE is there and need others to show them that there is HOPE. That they do matter, no matter the circumstances or choices that were made. As I mentioned before, my motto since my brother’s suicide is: “Two hearts are needed – one to give hope and the other to receive it.” Keep your heart open to both. One day you may need someone to show you hope, other days you may be the one providing hope to someone. Believe and prepare your heart that hope does exist and that there will always be better days ahead.
