The Story

EVENT DATE: Oct 11, 2013

The United Nations has declared October 11 “International Day of the Girl.” We’re asking those who believe in God’s love for at-risk girls to join us and shine the light of hope into the night.

 

1. Set Up Your “Hope Shines” event

Gather with your friends, family, or community and host prayer vigils, gather with candles, or run towards the darkness. You can download 11 Prayer Points (also available in bookmark form) to use if your are hosting a prayer vigil.

2. Take a photo or video of your event
Download a “Hope Shines In” poster, fill out the name of the city or area where you live, take a photo with it, and post it to the “Hope Shines” Facebook event wall
Make a video of your event, upload it to YouTube, and email the link to Jake at jwarren@sheissafe.org. We are going to put together a post-event video, and we want to include you!

3. Make a donation
Money raised through Hope Shines benefits She Is Safe’s work to free and empower women and girls around the world, equipping them to build lives of freedom, faith, and a strong future. Give new life to girls today!
