The Hope to Haiti Project closed on Sunday, August 7, 2011, at 23:59 EST US (11:59 PM EST US). Please stay tuned to our Random Acts homepage and the Random Acts page on Crowdrise for new, exciting projects in the coming weeks. Thank you!
In June 2011, Misha Collins and the Random Acts team took a group of 22 lucky people to Jacmel, Haiti to help build a refuge for some of Haiti’s hungry and homeless children.
These amazing individuals became a part of this unique and exciting experience by raising donations for Random Acts. They each raised $5,000 and earned the opportunity to be a part of bringing Hope to Haiti.
This group made the trip to Haiti and had the rare opportunity to make a tangible connection to their donations by immersing themselves in another culture and watching the product of their daily labor become something that will make a difference in people’s lives. They made connections and built friendships with the people in the community that we are helping. They may have even left Haiti with a new perspective on their own lives and circumstances.
The Random Acts team and Misha are deeply grateful for all those who have worked, and continue to work, so diligently to raise funds for the Hope to Haiti Project. You are all very much appreciated.
In order to participate, you must raise your funds through Crowdrise at this project page.
