In June 2011, Misha Collins, Matt Cohen and the Random Acts team will take a group to Jacmel, Haiti to help build a refuge for some of Haiti’s hungry and homeless children. The first 40 people to raise $5,000 each will earn the opportunity to be a part of bringing Hope to Haiti.
I have my birthday on 21st June and I was thinking of some vacation. But then I found out about Hope for Haiti project and decided that joining the team in their effort to raise money for those who is in need and go to Haiti to help to build something with my hand is much more useful then spend another week on a beach.
I offered my friends to donate to that project instead of giving me any presents. My friends supported that idea and we managed to gather some funds.
Usually I get quite many birthday cards from my friends and I think that it would be nice if this time I will send greeting card to them from Jacmel, Haiti to thank them for their support.
I’m sure that acts of goodwill shouldn’t stay unnoticed. So, I promise to send greeting card from Haiti to every donator on this page, so that you will have a nice souvenir and obvious evidence that the world became a little bit better because of you.
Just send me your address to email@example.com.
And thank you for your donations!

I’m not that experienced volunteer, but I’m looking forward to obtain new experience and willing to help in any way I can.
Even if I won’t become one of those lucky 40 who go I will be happy that I become a part of this project. And yes, I will send the card to every donator anyway! Not from Haiti, but from my home town. :)
