For my first Boston Marathon experience I will be running in support of Hopkinton Center of Arts. This is a great non-profit organization located at the start of the marathon.
HCA is dedicated to engaging the greater MetroWest community in the exploration, enjoyment, and support of the arts through multidisciplinary programming. It helps promote and instill confidence in local kids, teens and adults allowing them to celebrate their unique spirit and individuality. The HCA offers classes for youth, teens, and adults in the visual and performing arts. Every year hundreds of students enjoy classes in fine art, dance, music, theater, filmmaking, photography, acting, and creative writing. In addition, students can take private music or art lessons with qualified instructors.
I have been able to view great productions such as Peter Pan, Jungle Book, The Aristocats, that the children I grew up babysitting have been apart of. This has helped boost confidence in themselves, promoted an artistic outlet and is possibly the most adorable show us as spectators have seen!
Please support me and HCA by making a contribution to help them continue to fund such great programs for our community.
