Jennifer Pillow-Taylor's Fundraiser:

Help Us Raise Local, Organic Vegetables and Eggs

My fiance and I started a hobby garden last fall. Our budget is tight and we're getting married next year, plus we need to save up to replace two trees that threaten us and our neighbors with their branches. Yet, we have always planned to donate our excess crops to help our neighborhood and still do, even with setback or other plans.

We sell bulb flowers for cheap, as well as pumpkins in hopes of encouraging more happy children out at Halloween and pumpkin pies for the hungry in November, but the rest is eaten or donated.

We grow lots of garlic, onions, and berries and will have apples and more berries in the fall. Donations will help us expand to pomegranates, vine peaches, zucchini, radishes, peppers, tomatoes, melons, beets, beans, spinach, pears, grapes, pineapples, brussel sprouts, kohlrabi, passion fruit, and extra berries.

Donations do not go towards pumpkins, flowers, or anything else; just veggies to be eaten.

For every Donation of 5 dollars, we'l donate a dollar to Out of The Pits, an organization that helps abandoned dogs find good homes (and sometimes good jobs, like therapy dogs or helping shy children read).

For every 25 dollars, you'll receive a three giant (and fragrant) lilly bulbs and a random plant from Michigan Bulb Company.

The highest donor will receive a batch of mixed red dahlias from Michigan Bulb Company.

Every donation earns a chance at a raffle to win a pro-planned garden from either a bird and butterfly pro-planned garden, either water-saving or bird and butterfly (also helps bees replenish their weakened populations). There is no limit to donations.

Gifts can only be received if we have your mailing address and e-mail. You will receive a forwarded receipt for your prize, as plants are shipped when they're dormant (usually fall through winter).
