My name is Laura Bradshaw and it is my privilege this year to serve as president of the house of Corrie ten Boom.
Ten Boom is a community of women committed to thriving together during our time at King’s, cultivating relationships that last beyond college and into the next stage of life.
It has been an eventful year so far, with highlights such as welcoming fifteen new freshmen into the house, running all over the city with paint on our faces trying to solve clues during the Great Race competition, and continuing house traditions such as monthly potluck meals, and ten Boom Tuesday house gatherings. Another highlight of the fall semester, not only for our house but for the whole school, was our school wide fall retreat. This was a wonderful time of bonding, fun, and meaningful conversation for the school, and for ten Boom. Next semester we want to go on a retreat as a house in hopes to get away from the bustle of the city for a bit and enjoy fellowship with one another. This will be our fourth house retreat together, and it has proven to be one of our most beloved traditions.
This is where you can help. With close to fifty girls in our house, the cost of transportation, food, and facilities can add up. A donation of any amount will go directly to these expenses, and help us to accommodate any girl who wishes to go on retreat. Please consider making a donation to the house of ten Boom.
Thank you for your time and generosity!
