The 2013 Hood To Coast and Portland To Coast Relays will be held from August 23-24. The race stretches from Timberline Lodge to Seaside, where over 70,000 people will attend the finish line party.

The Hood To Coast/Portland To Coast Relays are proud to announce Providence Health & Services as the title sponsor of the 2013 and 2014 Hood To Coast Relays. In addition to becoming the title sponsor, Providence Cancer Center also becomes the 2013 and 2014 “Charity of Choice” of the relays.
The Providence Hood To Coast Relay is the most popular relay race in the world, with nearly 20,000 runners and walkers participating in three events: Hood To Coast Relay, Portland To Coast Walk Relay and Portland To Coast High School Challenge. The Providence Hood To Coast Relay waiting list reaches more than 40,000 potential participants annually. In 2012, the three events included runners and walkers from all 50 states and 35 countries.

As the 2013 and 2014 Charity of Choice, Providence Cancer Center will receive funds donated generously by Hood To Coast and Portland To Coast Relays participants, volunteers and employees. Research and advances in immunotherapy are making significant strides in the fight against cancer. Under the leadership of Walter Urba, M.D., Ph.D., the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute at Providence Cancer Center is part of a global network of renowned research institutions that together are advancing new therapies and treatments. Their philanthropy-funded research is reaching patients worldwide – and philanthropy remains crucial in the quest for a cure.
