I'm participating in an ultimate tournament later this month in honor of a passed nanny, friend, and father figure, John Bowes. John was one of the most caring, funny, and passionate people that has ever crossed through my life, and I know he would have loved to visit and hang out with me in San Francisco. I still try to follow his hold up to his high standard of listening and loving those around you.
The proceeds to this fundraiser benefit LIVESTRONG, if you knew John or have had cancer affect you or those around you, I would appreciate and personally thank any support you could give to my fund.
The pain from losing someone never goes away. Do not focus on the hole in your heart, but instead appreciate the expansion created, and realize if a hole can be made, more expansion can be made. Let's focus on the expansions.

Cancer touches us all. The Huck Cancer Ultimate Tournament is a one-day, coed hat tournament and fundraiser benefiting LIVESTRONG. The tournament takes place on February 25, 2017 at Beach Chalet Fields in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. We invite adult and youth Ultimate players throughout the Bay Area to come together to have fun and support an important cause. Join the Huck Cancer team and help us make a difference in the fight against cancer. Donations are tax deductible and go directly to LIVESTRONG.
Huck Cancer was born when our good friend Eric Arons was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. When friends approached Eric about doing a fundraiser in his honor, he unselfishly (and very characteristically) turned the spotlight away from himself, and instead inspired us to create a large, fun event that would reach a wider community and help people with all kinds of cancer. Together these ideas became the Huck Cancer Ultimate Tournament.
