Leadership Team 98 is a group of 31 individuals coming forward with one unified team vision:
"WE, LT98 LIVE OUTRAGEOUSLY, VICTORIOUSLY AND UNIFIED TO CREATE INTEGRITY, LOVE AND EXTRAORDINARY ABUNDANCE IN THE WORLD NOW!"
Our Team’s theme is “Bridging Families Through Education”. We will work with an under-served community in New York City and with Hug It Forward, whose secondary mission and vision strives to raise awareness in developing countries about trash consumption and the power of community. Our project connects communities locally and abroad, to learn about the impact of inorganic trash, cleaning their environments, and working together to build more sustainable educational infrastructures.
LT98's Legacy Project is to bridge families through education! Hug it Forward is a grass-roots organization that facilitates education and awareness by empowering communities in developing countries to build "bottle schools". Hug it Forward, like LT98, believes that Education is the future. Hug It Forward states on their website, "We believe in the power of education to change the world. Education brings with it the opportunity to create real change - not just in the life of the person being educated, but for the entire family, and the community at large. Education positively impacts health, happiness, birth rate, life expectancy, and much more." LT98 will raise $13,500 to build a bottle school, with Hug It Forward, in a developing country; and will host a NYC Community Day in an under-served community which will spread joy, fun, and information on a variety of topics that will inspire, educate, uplift, and empower families.
We will celebrate and empower a community with a NYC Community Day on September 29, 2013. The vision is to have a back to school event where we distribute backpacks; offer minimal health tests; have kid activities such as face painting and games; and “read with me” groups set up for children and families in NYC. We will educate the community through flyers that specifically tell about our goal and vision as a team and that represents each major passion that we have addressed (DV, education, health etc.).
***Please join us in contributing $13,500 towards Hug It Forward to build a bottle school in a developing country. You can donate directly on this website by clicking "DONATE" above. We will be hosting a HUGE NYC Community Day on Sunday September 29, 2013. Please join us in our vision to touch, move and inspire the world around us!***
