Last week, I accepted the “Humane Advocate Award” by the Humane Society of the United States.
I’m honored to have received this award, but we can all be effective animal advocates by simply adopting from a shelter or rescue group, refusing to wear fur, or going vegetarian for at least one day week.
I do what I can to get awareness out about that. I host events, give money and time, and write letters of support, but I feel that I can do so much more to spread the word.
The Humane Society of the United States works to reduce suffering and improve the lives of all animals by advocating for better laws; investigating animal cruelty; encouraging corporations to adopt animal-friendly policies; conducting disaster relief and animal rescue; and providing direct care for thousands of animals at our sanctuaries, emergency shelters, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and mobile veterinary clinics.
Please support the Humane Society today. Let's put an end to animal cruelty.
