Please help in supporting this great local cause, as I hit the streets of NYC for the NYC Marathon on Nov 2!
As many of you know, my wife kinda likes animals. She has recently started volunteering her time at the Humane Society of Charlotte, helping abandoned and abused pets receive the care they require and find the new homes that they deserve. Being a non-for-profit organization who receives no funding from the city, state, or Humane Society of the US, the Humane Society of Charlotte depends solely on donations from the community to continue operating and saving the lives of these pets that need so much assistance.
It wasn't until Ali recently came home with an aging, overweight Chihuhua with a number of medical and trust issues, that I realized I wanted to get involved in some way. After seeing Lea Lea's (pronounced Lay Lay) transformation in just the few days that she stayed in our home, and the joy that my daughter got out of having her there, I truly realized how important this organization is to our community and to these pets. Unfortuanelty with two stubborn pets and a crazy two year old, we are not able to keep Lea Lea full time, but hoping to find someone who can, or at the very lest raise money so she can continue to receive the great care at the HS of Charlotte
Without the Humane Socity of Charlotte and the people that support them, I'm not sure Lea Lea would still be around today. So, Thanks!
