This September The Homestead is once again excited to participate in NAMI's MINDwalk to raise money for free mental health services across the state. Last year NAMI VT raised $44,000! This walk also works to eradicate the stigma surrounding mental illness. Help Hundred Acre Homestead support NAMI VT by donating to the cause.
From the NAMI VT MIND walk website:
"MINDwalk is the biggest mental health party of the year. It's a beautiful 5K amble along Lake Champlain and downtown Burlington.
We walk to celebrate the hope of recovery. We walk to remember those we've lost and to help the people we love. We walk because there is unjust policy, stigma, fear, and ignorance. We walk to speak out for positive change. And we walk because we believe people who have a community, a voice, and the light of day are stronger and impossible to ignore."
