BENEFITING: HURDLE JUMPERS
EVENT DATE: Mar 20, 2011
HOURS PLEDGED: 3,500
I'm a cancer survivor who was frustrated as a patient. During chemo, every time I had a side effect (dry eyes, dry skin, dry mouth, and more!) I needed to find a product to help alleviate the symptoms. It was exhausting finding and testing products. I knew I wasn't the only one to go thru this ordeal and vowed to help others when I got better. I founded Hurdle Jumpers to give cancer patients a kit filled with donated samples of products that work, plus my collection of survival tips, along with a humor book, relaxation CD and other stuff. hey, and my doctors and nurses reviewed all the tips!
Hurdle Jumpers has helped over 3,400 cancer warriors and needs to raise funds to provide chemo and radiation kits to newly diagnosed cancer patients. it's a charity and it's the most important volunteer work I've ever done. cancer sucks! my mom died from cancer when I was 11. I've lost many relatives to this horrible, heinous disease. please help me help others and you'll feel better too! everyone has been touched by cancer. You can make a difference in a cancer patient's day with your support. thanks a bunch!
