BENEFITING: American Red Cross
Hurricane Harvey has tragically effected millions of people who will be homeless, jobless, and displaced for an undetermined amount of time. This time of year, we are all focused on our kiddos getting back in school, maybe saving money to travel for the holidays which, understandably some see as a financial burden. I choose to channel my investment of time and finances towards this drive through the American Red Cross. Asked what my purpose is: My purpose is to fulfill my human responsibility to serve and care for others. This is a natural catastrophe! Families, businesses, homes, food and shelters are at a loss. I am determined to not let this effort be propaganda. This natural disaster happened in a geographical location other than your own. With that said. In the US, we stand for one another. Take care of our own. Without doing our part, the potential economic effects this storm will have is greater than Hurricane Katrina. Dallas is prepping for an influx of over 30,000 displaced humans effected by this storm in the next 3 days. These are families who had homes, huge and some small. Our Texan families had jobs, communities and socioeconomic systems, all lost by this storm. And some, even lives. My drive is to do what I can to help any one if only just 1, through this. There is no lie, this will not be easy but economically speaking, we have a duty to assist when called upon. This is one of those calls. I hope and pray you will hear my call and do what ever you can, when you can.
