As few are aware MANY are not regarding BREAST CANCER in the African American Community. So...I'm running for my sisters September 23, 2017 in the Hyde Park Breast Cancer 5K to spread the word.
Although blacks have numbers reported far less than other ethnic groups, the death rate within the African American Community is rising! We are failing our mothers, sisters, daughters and girlfriends due to a lack of communication and compassion. We have not because we share not!
Please join me in this campaign to prompt continued discussions about Breast Health & Early Detection; that doors will begin to open in our communities to educate black women beyond self exams and mammograms. This is a great opportunity to participate in the efforts to empower and strengthen our communities back to health.
Your donation of $10 or more and continued communication helps to save lives while building bridges in order to bequeath an inheritance full of knowledge and power within communities.
The 4th ANNUAL HYDE PARK BREAST CANCER 5K RUN/WALK takes place September 23, 2017 on a scenic, lake front course during the peak of autumn at Harold Washington Park located at 53rd & Hyde Park Boulevard. Please join us!!!
Net proceeds from this event benefit breast cancer research awareness programs and breast cancer research at the University of Chicago.
