I Cannot Work but the Bills Don't Stop

I was diagnosed with debilitating back problems nearly 4 years ago. Unfortunately due to insurance and other factors I could not do anything to treat it until November 2015.
While dealing with my back issues and MRI showed a huge ovarian cyst (determined to be benign) that needed to be removed before I scheduled my lumbar fusion. My cyst removal went fine, until 6 days later when it became infected. That led to 4 days on the hospital and 2 months of wound care until it finally healed, putting off my back surgery even longer. My lumbar fusion was done on May 10 and went very well although it took nearly 10 hours to fix the extent of the damage caused by having to wait.
It is now 2 months later and none of the neuropathy I have had in my legs for 3 years has improved and has actually gotten worse and again my incisions are still not completely healed. My back pain is still incredibly bad but hopefully this will improve over time. Now I am also facing cervical spine and/or neurologic issues that could possibly be the result of my lumbar fusion.
Needless to say I was hoping to be able to work a little by now as Social Security has denied me and I am currently in the appeal process. We are now down to one income and we are struggling to pay our normal household bills. Any help would be greatly appreciated and would help alleviate some of the extra stress I am dealing with.
