I’m running the New Jersey Marathon in April for everyone who is, has or will be affected by cancer. I’m running for myself, you, my family, my friends, your family, your friends. I’m running to help beat cancer and support cancer research. I’m running for the best man I will ever know; I’m running for my dad. Please help me raise as much money as possible to fight this cruel disease.
I'm running for the cancer research organization "No Stomach For Cancer". I've struggled how to describe this message to my family and friends...I have a desire to do whatever necessary to help beat back this horrible disease. Many of us have or will experience what cancer is capable of doing to even the strongest people.
Not too long ago, I was asked how I define strength in reference to my premature kids. I said strength is helping others when you yourself need help. My dad had a positive attitude on everything in life (always had it...before, after & during his diagnosis) and through his consistently positive outlook and strength he provided his family more help than anything we could do for him.
I have not run a marathon in about seven years and am using this race as a means to raise funds for a great cause and honor my dad. Whether you donate here, donate to another organization or help raise awareness - we just need to help beat back cancer.
Thank you for contributing.
