Iain and Noah Taylor - Potter Baseball Tour
Organized by: Heidi Taylor
We want to share our excitement about an incredible opportunity we are taking part in - a spot on the Potter Baseball Tour team roster for 2016. Jeff Potter, a highly regarded youth baseball coaches as well as the author of “Whatever Happened to Baseball” and “Saving Baseball”, is now in his seventh year of organizing his tour. The tour is a 26 day “experience” for 13-15 year old boys. This year the tour will travel through three states and over 26 towns. At each tour stop, the team will play baseball against local teams the “good old fashioned way”… for the love of the game. From wooden bats to singing the National Anthem, from throwback uniforms to an emphasis on community, this tour is designed to go back to a time when life was much simpler. We will also participate in other sports along with community service activities at each stop, giving back to each and every town that we visit. In the past, teams have worked at soup kitchens and homeless shelters. They have also participated in fundraisers to help out people in need in the community. Each player on the team represents one of the cities the tour will stop in. We are proud to be representing Plowville and Morgantown (PA) and it will be an honor to be a member of this team. We are already looking forward to the travel, fun, and lessons that will be learned along the way. Obviously, the magnitude of this event is requiring not only individual fundraising by the participants, but also sponsors and donors to step forward to help defray the cost. We will be raising a total of $4,000.00 on our own to pay for the tour. We would like to take this opportunity to respectfully request your consideration be given to this worthwhile cause.
