BENEFITING: I AM THAT GIRL
During January and February, we'll be raising funds for I AM THAT GIRL, a Santa Monica-based nonprofit that aims to create a world that promotes the health and well-being of girls and women.
You can join us in supporting their important work by attending our donation-based Karma Classes at 8:15pm on Friday nights during the months of January and February. Or, if you'd like, you can make a donation to I AM THAT GIRL by clicking on the "DONATE" button to the right.
I AM THAT GIRL isn’t just a women’s movement -- it’s a 21st Century human movement. And we need everyone. A girl’s physical, emotional and mental well-being is rooted in her self-worth. And we are living in an epidemic of self-doubt. Every day, girls and women are bombarded with messages that tell them what they are NOT and we work every day to help them love what they are; to see that in themselves and inspire that in others. I AM THAT GIRLS believes in the power of femininity. They’ve seen the limitless possibility when girls collaborate instead of compete and contribute instead of merely consume. By building community for girls to belong, to discover their innate worth, and to embrace and celebrate who they are, I AM THAT GIRL will transform lives and create a healthier, more powerful world.
Over the past five years we’ve connected with hundreds of thousands of girls, telling us how the I AM THAT GIRL community has turned their stories of struggle and adversity into stories of triumph, connectedness and empowerment. In just a few short years, we have built a community and group of influential supporters that enables us to reach over 5 million people. I AM THAT GIRL empowers, supports and educates an engaged and growing community of over 100,000 girls from across the globe to love and express themselves through online and offline programs and initiatives.
I AM THAT GIRLS believes in cultivating an online and offline community to give girls a safe space to discover, be and express who they are. For more information about their work, visit www.iamthatgirls.com.
