Interference Archive is moving, building, and growing--and we really need your support to make our new, long-term home a reality.
In August, we received a notice that Interference Archive had to vacate its current space by September 1 because the building we call home had sold. We were kind of anticipating this news, just not on such a short timeline.
We're putting ALL of our resources forward to ensure that the Archive continues to be a supportive, public space that honors the histories and material cultures often marginalized by mainstream spaces, while making room for today's growing social movements. Every single dollar raised through this campaign will go towards direct costs for moving and building out our new, longterm home on 7th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
The new space will serve as a renewed community hub. We’ll have a storefront. More room. More accessibility. And a long-term home in a super populated neighborhood in Brooklyn near tons of trains, buses, and bikepaths. We hope you'll grow and develop this space with us. We're a 100% volunteer run organization so your backing and support is critical to our ability to thrive.
Here's what you can look forward to: greater access to one of the largest archival collections of social movement history; more than 80 free public programs a year (film screenings, talks, discussion groups); community-driven exhibitions that pull from the radical histories of activism past and present; and new place for you to call home too.
Thank you for making a tax-deductible gift in support of Interference Archive today.
