The IBD Support Foundation (IBDSF) is approaching its 10th year of service to those suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, together known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, or IBD. We have spent the first decade caring for patients and teaching the medical community that medicine isn't enough when treating patients with chronic disease. Patients are people, and people need support - at home, at work, in the doctor's office and in the hospital. IBDSF's mission is to improve the lives of those suffering with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through psychological, emotional and social support, education and now RESEARCH. We have learned that the patient's voice needs to be backed by research about the needs of patients beyond the medicine - PLEASE HELP US RAISE THE PATIENT VOICE by supporting PSYCHOSOCIAL CARE RESEARCH.
We are also creating teams and participating in the Surf City Half-Marathon in Huntington Beach, California on Sunday, February 7th, 2016. Funds obtained through this marathon will be allocated toward our first RAISE THE PATIENT VOICE research campaign goal of $100,000. As half-marathon teams develop, they will be connected to this page so you may see some of the wonderful volunteers we have contributing to our efforts as well as advancements in our progress towards achieving our goal!
