The IBD Support Foundation (IBDSF) is approaching its 10th year of service to those suffering from Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, together known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease, or IBD. We have spent the first decade caring for patients and teaching the medical community that medicine isn't enough when treating patients with chronic disease. Patients are people, and people need support - at home, at work, in the doctor's office and in the hospital. IBDSF's mission is to improve the lives of those suffering with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis through psychological, emotional and social support, education and now RESEARCH. We have learned that the patient's voice needs to be backed by research about the needs of patients beyond the medicine - PLEASE HELP US RAISE THE PATIENT VOICE by supporting PSYCHOSOCIAL CARE RESEARCH.
I formed this team to support my kids, my brother and my Yavneh family who live with IBD.
I will be running the Surf City Half-Marathon on February 7, 2016 with other IBDSF teams. You can support my run or join me there!
