I CAN TOO FOUNDATION INC wrote -The I Can Too Foundation Inc. is an international organization which supports children with special needs (www.icantoo.us) We started our work in 2006 in Bulgaria and in 2012 the organization was registered in the US as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
We are small, but ambitious, and we would like to expand out activities to benefit more children all over the world.
The main idea of I Can Too is that everyone can join to support and contribute by whatever he or she can do best. Following this principle we established a Medical rehab center for disabled children in Sofia, Bulgaria where we provide support to over 250 children with special needs and their families. Currently, I Can Too is working on opening several centers for children with autism in different cities in Bulgaria. We are constantly working on raising awareness and educating society about autism, which is becoming more and more of a problem not just in Bulgaria, but also here in the US.
I Can Too's goal is to expand out activities in the USA and work together with other US and international organizations to improve the quality of life of more children and help their families through diagnostic and care facilities, patient education and raising awareness.
We also aim to establish an endowment fund for funding research and other programs, which will enable us to not only diagnose and provide support, but to also look for the cause of autism and other conditions and contribute towards finding treatment.
We are developing a network of supporters and during the last year and in 2013 there have been many events, dedicated to the organization in different American cities (New York, Boston, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, LA, San Francisco, Seattle, San Jose). We are involving individuals, businesses, and have the support of the Bulgarian diplomatic missions across the US.
I Can Too in the USA aims to raise a start up capital which would help us begin spreading our mission across the US. The funds will empower our charity work and guarantee the effectiveness and efficacy of our projects in the long-term. Thus, we could help more rapidly a growing number of children with special needs.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 over a 6 month period.
Thank you for your generosity!
