During Christmas of 06’-07’, my mother and now guarding angel, ‘Lala’ Chocano, was diagnosed with a stage 4 gliobastoma brain tumor. The life expectancy for her diagnosis was 6 to 12 months, but through incredible faith, strength, love, and care for her family, she fought the hardest of fights for almost 3 years. She united family and friends throughout the world during her fight, demonstrating the power of faith and love to everyone she touched. Instrumental to my mother’s fight was the treatment and support she received at the University of Cincinnati Brain Tumor Center under the watch of Dr. John Tew, her surgeon(and an incredible human being according to my mother and father).
This is why I will dedicate the funds raised under my name to the UCBT Center. The fight on November 6th does not come close to what my mother had to battle, but it is a small token on my behalf to honor her legacy and help fight back. So please, join me in this fight against cancer along with the Haymakers for Hope organization. Thank you so very much for your support, I hope to see you there
