IHN at Alpha House provides the most basic necessity for families – shelter. Without it, children and families who are homeless live in danger on the street, in cars, or insecurely couch-surfing from house to house. Homelessness is an especially traumatic experience for children, who are twice as likely to be sick, to repeat grade levels, and to leave school without graduating.
While we work to address a family’s housing needs, children have a place to play, connections to school, and a bed to call their own. We provide for their needs through generous community support.
Maintenance expenses increase each year as our building ages. Your donation today helps keep Alpha House a welcoming respite for families who are homeless. Please give as generously as you can, and thank you for your support.
