A letter from our youth:
Dear Valued Supporter,
Miami Edison Senior High School Art Club really needs your donation! We are seniors and juniors who wrote, directed, and produced a short film for the “If I had a Trillion Dollars” youth film festival in D.C. We tried to shed a light, to the enormous issues in our American educational system from our prospective. We are under the guidance of a non-profit organization, Art Studio Miami. This organization have saved the imagination of hundreds of children in Miami’s Urban communities. This not just request for help, but also an opportunity for you to become part of the struggle for a philanthropic world. The video contest was launched nationwide in May 2010 to call attention to the $1 trillion the U.S. has already spent on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Youth ages 13-23 were asked to address the military budget and use their videos to explore how they would spend the $1 trillion on themselves, their schools, their communities and their country.
The cost of this trip is about $1,000 per student. Sadly, this is financially out of our reach. The majority of the Art Club members have never been on a plane or left the city of Miami. Your charitable donations will make this impossible dream, a reality. Any amount that you can afford to give would be greatly appreciated. You can find our global giving fundraising page at (ms.money please put the website) Please also forward this information to anyone that you think would like to support our cause.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give. If you have any questions, please feel free to
