Help to Improve 10,000+ Teachers’ and Students’ Scientific Literacy!
To successfully inspire and prepare students to be tomorrow’s scientists and engineers, teachers must have a solid understanding of the practical applications of what they teach and support to update their curriculum and teaching strategies. Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education (IISME) bridges the education, business and research communities to foster innovation and enhance the quality and relevance of science education. IISME’s Summer Fellowship Program provides teachers “real-world” exposure to cutting-edge science and its many applications. Teachers bring this experience back to the classroom and create more relevant lessons.
IISME’s Research Collaborative, focused on supporting teachers in high need, under-resourced schools, helps teachers develop inquiry-based labs and supports student-driven research.
Imagine a world where the quality of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education matches the innovation of Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area!
