THE STORY:

Ironman Pescara June 1st 2014

After almost 2 years of have watched the Ironman World Championship in Kona HI and being totally inspired and chalenged forever and changing my entire lifestyle with a sport that has been a blessing in so many ways in my life. I ve decided that its time to participate on my first IRONMAN event.

And after 70.3 MIles I just could not have the feeling that I ve donne it all for my own self.

Doing More than Sport is something that has inspired me to keep going.

Ileana is a girl that inspired so many people to stop from the crazy keep on keeping on that we all live.  Till she met my friend Brad Corrigan. who I ve been playing music with for the last almost 10 years and made him stop, stay a while and have his world changed by this girl invitation to come into his life.

please check out his Kickstarter project about making a movie that will carry her story, and you can also read bellow to get to know more about it

Ileana, a little girl with a big heart and lightning smile, grew up in a trash dump community in Managua, Nicaragua. As a child she was forced into prostitution by her parents to make money for her family. Tragically, she contracted HIV and passed away in 2011. Inspired by Ileana’s courage and smile, we are raising funds through Kickstarter to produce a documentary to honor her short, beautiful and bold life. The film will also shine a light on the growing need to protect children vulnerable to sexual exploitation worldwide. We believe there is immeasurable power in Ileana’s story and we're excited to share it with you in this documentary.

ABOUT THE FILM

Using the funds raised from this campaign, Love Light & Melody will be producing a feature-length documentary on Ileana’s beautiful yet tragic life. The expected release date for the film is November 2015. Your support and donations are critical to the realization of this project.

From 2006-2011, Love Light & Melody compiled five years of film footage and still photography documenting many important moments and seasons of Ileana’s life. We anticipate that this archival footage and photography will serve as 60 to 70-percent of the film’s content.

The remaining 30 to 40-percent of the footage will be filmed interviews with individuals from Nicaragua, Brazil, Japan and the United States who were unexpectedly brought together and inspired by Ileana’s life and smile. In addition, we will be interviewing leading experts and advocates on the issue of sexual exploitation of children worldwide.

Please remember Ileana died as a direct result of sexual exploitation as a child. No child should ever have to be violated in this way.....may we always remember Ileana, any how she suffered and remember to say "NO" to anything at all related to the exploitation of minors, and "YES" to promoting awareness that the sex trafficking and exploitation of precious minor children is worldwide and not "their" problem but OUR problem. 3 years ago
