BENEFITING: ILLINOIS COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
ORGANIZER: ILLINOIS COALITION AGAINST DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
EVENT: Purple Purse Challenge 2015
EVENT DATE: Oct 01, 2015
ICADV builds networks of support for and with survivors, and advances statewide policies and practices that transform societal attitudes and institutions to eliminate and prevent domestic abuse.
Survivors are able to find safety only when each of us in the community understands and participates in our roles in keeping families safe. Faith organizations, schools, hospitals, law enforcement, child protection, and our legal systems - all of us will help or hinder a survivor when we meet them. At ICADV we are committed to educating, training and advocating within these groups and systems so that there is no wrong door for a survivor when engaging them - each door leads to someone prepared to help.
Please take 5 minutes and partner with us in helping to create safety for families in Illinois.
- $30 = One hour of community training about domestic abuse.
- $50 = One hour of policy advocacy with state officials.
- $90 = One month of bus tokens for a survivor to get to and from work.
- $250 = One day of technical assistance to local domestic violence programs.
