I have never felt more of a since of camaraderie than the morning we climbed 110 floors in full PPE. Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, MIlitary. We were there to climb for those who climbed but never made it out. It didn't matter who you were, or where you came from. In that stairwell, we were brothers and sisters climbing for a cause. Through the out of tune, and badly sung "Don't Stop Believing's" and those playing music through their phones, the phrase that struck me the most, not only came from others but eventually from my own mouth, was "I'm Right Behind You." We were a jumble of people from all different corners of the state, maybe even the nation. In those stairwells, we were a team. We came together as a team, we climbed as a team, and we finished as a team. I had someone's back and someone else had mine. The fundraiser's goal is set at $10 not as a joke. I don't have a monetary goal for this fundraiser. This isn't just my goal. This is a team effort What we choose to give should not be limited to what I think is enough. So I leave it to the donor to decide what THEIR goal is. Donate how ever much you can/want. Whatever your donation is, I thank you for it. I believe the deadline to give is this Sept. 24th.
