I'm running the 2017 Boston Marathon in support of Limbs for Life and the 507 people who lose a limb each day, and those who lost a limb during the 2013 Boston Marathon.
Every $2,500 donated provides an amputee with a limb for life! Help me change the lives of at least 3 people by donating $7,500 to Limbs for Life.
About Limbs for Life
The Limbs for Life Foundation is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to providing fully-functional prosthetic care for individuals who cannot otherwise afford it and raising awareness of the challenges facing amputees.
On average, 507 people lose a limbs each day, joining over 2.1 million amputees living with limb loss in the United States alone.
When a person becomes an amputee, they are faced with staggering emotional and financial lifestyle changes. Fortunately, high tech prosthetic devices that restore a person’s basic skills and independence are available. Unfortunately, many amputees lack the financial resources to obtain adequate prosthetic care.
That’s where the Limbs for Life Foundation steps in. Our goal is to provide a financial bridge between low-income amputees and the quality prosthetic care needed to restore their lives.
