BENEFITING: THE IM ABLE FOUNDATION
ORGANIZER: THE IM ABLE FOUNDATION
So many words come to mind when I think of the IM ABLE Foundation. Giving. Motivating. Life changing. Best damn people ever.
It's no secret that I love Chris, Gretchen, and the entire IM ABLE crew. When countless other organizations turned me away - because I don't have a spinal cord injury; because I'm not an amputee; because I'm not a veteran - IM ABLE opened their arms and gave me a chance. A chance to become a better version of myself; a chance to become stronger and healthier; a chance to get off the sidelines and start living; a chance to change my life. For that, I will be eternally grateful.
On November 5th, I'll be hitting the NYC Marathon course again. Emotions were running high last year - I was excited, anxious, determined, terrified, you name it. This year, I plan to hit the course stronger, more determined, and better focused.
IM ABLE cannot continue to change lives - like they did for Tom and me - without the help of its supporters. In the 59 days leading up to the NYC Marathon, I'm hoping to raise $500 for IM ABLE. I know $500 isn't much. In fact, it's only 1/6 of the cost of a new handcycle for an adaptive athlete like me and so many others who are waiting for their chance. Will you help me reach my goal?
