So, iMentor is an amazing thing. It's not big brothers and big sisters. It's not tutoring. It's somewhere in between. It's having a great relationship with a mentee that lasts their whole high school career and on into college and beyond. And obviously, it's not free. We need help to keep it going. Every dollar helps. When you think about it, it's actually fairly inexpensive - each student (and matched mentor) only costs $1,000 per year. And there are about 3,500 students in the program, so for $4 million, the college application rate goes from 50% (national average) to 75%, an astounding figure. I've only been in the program for about 6 months now, but I must say that it has been extremely enlightening and educational for me, and I'm hoping it proves useful for my mentee. For now, I'm just trying to be a decent mentor. Help out this amazing program today, any amount would be amazing. Thanks!
