The Incentive Mentoring Program (IMP) engages underperforming high school students confronting significant barriers outside of the classroom by providing each one with a family of committed volunteers and increased access to community resources. We foster students’ academic advancement and personal growth into self-motivated, resilient and responsible citizens. Today, IMP supports 127 underperforming high school students by engaging over 600 volunteers to create extended families and community that are not defined by DNA and address, but by unconditional love and support. IMP aims to reach as many students as possible, as quickly as possible, while maintaining exemplary outcomes. In addition to supporting our students in beating the odds, IMP also aims to change the odds and reduce the pipeline of students who need IMP. The funds raised through the NEXT Generation Charity Challenge would enable IMP to enroll additional students and increase the number of students served by 25%.
