As you probably already know (because I cannot stop gushing about it), I work with an amazing non-profit called CO/LAB Theater Group, which provides people with developmental disabilities a creative and social outlet through theater arts. It's ah-mazing.
Every single moment I spend with CO/LAB is magic. The student actors become their best selves in their classes and rehearsals — finding space to build their confidence, explore their creativity, and stretch the boundaries of their personalities and capabilities. It's brilliant and beautiful.
But here's the thing. As a non-profit, fundraising is vital to CO/LAB's existence. Most classes and programs are offered for free (Yes, free.) to make them available to all regardless of financial background. But, in New York, costs add up — and CO/LAB needs things like classroom supplies, rehearsal space, and theaters booking to make their programs happen.
So please, make my day and your day with a donation to this invaluable organization. No matter the amount, your gift will empower CO/LAB's student actor with a new, blindingly-bright sense of self.
