My daughter Becky and several friends started CO/LAB in 2011 after participating in a program at Syracuse University teaching theater to developmentally disabled young adults. In four years they have taken CO/LAB from a dream to an organization that has helped hundreds of individuals to realize their potential and provide a creative outlet for so many people who would have no other means to do so.
As a board member and father (and occasional helper) I have first hand knowledge of the passion and hours the staff puts in to provide the actors with the understanding, care and compassion that they so richly deserve. It is impossible to walk away from a class or performance without a full heart and feeling proud of the artists, teaching artists, staff, families and everone else who supports the organization.
Please give whatever you can, no amount is too small and any and all contibutions are greatly appreciated.

This is CO/LAB's fourth year celebrating Giving Tuesday and we need your help. Last year, we set a goal of $10,000 and our community turned out big time - we raised over double our goal! As a non-profit, fundraising is so vital to our existence. Most of our classes and programs are offered to participants for FREE. We aim to provide access to all those who need us, regardless of financial background. But, we're in New York... so costs add up. We need things like classroom supplies and props, rehearsal studio space, theaters for performances and all the other fun things that make our programs happen.
CO/LAB (Creative Opportunities without Limits And Boundaries) is a non profit dedicated to providing individuals with developmental disabilities a creative and social outlet through theater arts. To learn more, visit us at www.colabtheatergroup.com.
About Giving Tuesday:
First there was Black Friday, then there was Cyber Monday, and now there is Giving Tuesday. #GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give. CO/LAB will keep celebrating for a whole month, so let's keep the spirit going!
