BENEFITING: The Multiple System Atrophy Coalition
UPDATE : On July 24th 2016, I completed Ironman Lake Placid which I dedicated to my dear cousin Fran Sanniola-Roppelt who recently lost her courageous battle against Multiple System Atrophy(MSA). I swam 2.4 miles, then biked 112 miles followed by a 26.2 full marathon distance run, all in 13 hours 38 minutes. The Ironman Lake Placid race course is very physically demanding, and I felt Fran's spirit help push me through some difficult and painful segments. I would like to thank everyone who has already contributed to this fundraiser for research to help find a cure for MSA, and am calling on anyone else who is willing to make a donation, however big or small, in memory of Fran. She left behind her loving husband Jeff, daughter Nicolette 17, and twin sons Vincent and Anthony 13. Her mother Dora, father Anthony, and brothers James, Richard and Anthony loved and miss her dearly as well. If we could each just do a little part and donate whatever amount we can to help find a cure for this underfunded disease, then maybe in the future another family won't have to endure the same heartache as we have.
