My Family and I have set a goal of $500 to support this run in honor of all service members Indiana has lost. This organization is very near and dear to our hearts- as you know my brother Gary M Henry was killed in Iraq in 2008. This organization does so much to help the families of the fallen, as well as all service members, we want to do something to contribute! All donations big or small are greatly appreciated! Once you have opened the link, please scroll down the names and click on ours to make your donation! We thankyou from the bottom of our hearts!

Indiana Run For The Fallen - May 15-17, 2015
One Mile ~ One marker ~ One Hero
Honor and Remember, Inc. and its Indiana Chapter, have partnered in a special event to call attention to, and honor the men and woman who have died recently in military service. A team of more than 20 runners will embark on a 140+ mile run, from Ft. Wayne to Indianapolis, doing 8.0 minute miles, to honor the 208 Veterans who have died as a result of serving during the war on Terror and in support of Operation.Iraq Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom & Operation New Dawn.
Each mile of the route will be dedicated to an individual hero and his family or her family. The running team will stop at each “hero” marker to give individual tribute to the waiting Gold Star family members, friends, and comrades. The goal of the event is to create a memorial trail through Indiana. Each hero marker tribute will include the biographical description of the hero along with American and Honor and Remember Flags.
Although we try to get as many services and provisions donated as we can there are expenses incurred in "enabling" our mission such as food and accommodations for the Core Run Team and support staff, event T-shirts for the runners, police escorts, and Gold Star Families, insurace, permits, nutritional supplies etc. that we may have to purchase.
All donations collected above the needed expenses will be used to further the national mission of Honor and Remember, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
