India Tech training and ESL Trip
Organized by: Mike Scheid
Dear Friends and Family,
Dad and I have been invited to join a team from Cherry Hills Community Church to go to India in October. Cherry Hills is the church partner of the school where he works. We have been asked to join the team as they needed help with computer training and needed another female on the trip.
We will be traveling to and serving in the city of Dehradun in Northern India. We will be teaching basic computer skills and English as a second language to approximately 30 Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM) staff. IEM’s vision is a church for every people group and the Gospel for every person in India. They currently have 690 workers serving in 48 mission fields across India. It is some of these workers serving in remote villages in Northern India that our team has been asked to serve.
Our trip will last for 10 days this coming October. We are asking for you to partner with us in two ways. First, we would love to have your prayers for our team while we are preparing and in India. It will be a wonderful, yet overwhelming and challenging trip for all of us. Second, our five member team is working to raise about $5,000. This money will help us cover the cost of training materials, computer rentals, room and board for students, airfare, lodging, meals, ground transportation, health/accident insurance and emergency evacuation insurance.
Would you please take a moment and pray about becoming a financial partner with our team as we serve in India? If you wish to contribute financially to this opportunity, please complete the response section at the bottom of this letter, indicting the amount of your contribution. No gift is too small or too big. :) If you would like to receive a tax credit for you dontatoin please mail a check to me and Kayla made out to Cherry Hills Community Chruch; mail to 2557 S. Dexter St. Denver, CO 80222
We thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. We truly feel blessed to be a part of this ministry and to share it with you.
