With the holiday season around the corner, it is a perfect time to reflect on our peace and blessings that we have been granted this year. One way to be thankful for our blessings is to give back to those who are less fortunate. By less fortunate we mean, a 2-hour drive to get public health care, in a region where general health care is a rarity. Help us with the GlobeMed mission of giving and providing direct aid to our partnering medical clinic, Jambi Huasi, in Otavalo, Ecuador. A donation can be set at any amount of your choosing. Your selfless contribution will undoubtedly impact Darwin, the clinic advisor and coordinator with us here in Chicago, Mama Juanita, the matriarch and spiritual healer, and the lives of the rest of the community in Otavalo, and its neighboring towns.
GlobeMed partners student from all over the country with grassroots organizations. Together we are building a movement for justice and global health! Health is a basic human right. Yet people living in poverty continue to die of preventable and treatable diseases. Health determines how we live and why we die. By focusing on the foundations of health, like clean water, nutritious food, and medical care, we can save and empower thousands of lives. Imagine a world in which everyone had the chance not only to survive but thrive. What could we accomplish? We have the power to make this vision a reality. It all starts with health, one life, family, and community at a time.
