Induct Cheap Trick

Some of you may know me as the founder of the "Induct Cheap Trick Into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame" aka "Induct Cheap Trick" Petition Campaign that I started in March 2013. After many years of hearing the same question regarding the band's lack of induction by TRARHOF from nearly every other longtime Cheap Trick fan (and feeling helpless to change it), this campaign began as an idea to do something beyond just asking why, while doing it in a positive way for the band. The hope was to bring all of those supporters together, while working towards the same goal of seeing the band finally get the recognition that they deserve after a forty year career. As a group, we are collectively trying to bring about the awareness that is needed to create that change. The majority of my free time and resources are spent on managing the campaign which includes a website, petition, various social media pages, and a street and online promotions team. There is so much more to be done and only so much that I (and one volunteer helping with the street team) can actually do, and we need more help. We need volunteers with specific skillsets or we need money to pay for those same services. Aside from the time required, there are expenses related to doing this, and they are increasing as the campaign and what we are doing continues to be more known. There are longterm goals to establish the campaign at an even larger level, but this will take additional time and resources to actually accomplish. For now, I am focusing on the goals that are more easily attainable and will have the most impact. One of the most important goals is to continue getting the word out as we have been doing online, but also through expanding our street teaming efforts at live shows and events. This is where donations from supporters would currently help us the most and why I am asking for help with this particular project. Printing the promotional materials is not cheap, and even mailing out a small quantity of street team cards or wristbands which we provide free for fans, costs us around $2.50 to send out to each person. I need to be able to do much more with this than I am currently able to do. Whether you can make a donation or not, we would very much appreciate your signature on the petition, or any help raising awareness for this cause. Please consider volunteering your time and talents as well. Thank you for your support! Our immediate needs are: - Placing orders for printed promotional materials which include the street teaming supplies such as cards, stickers, wristbands, flyers, etc. - Postage costs to mail these supplies out to regional street team leaders and/or individual street teamers prior to shows. - Yearly domain renewals, website hosting plan and webmaster for website. While I have purchased and/or renewed the domain name(s) and have found a Graphics Designer to donate his talent and services (new logos, scannable cards, and website designs), website hosting and professional website management is still needed to finish this project. Update: The domains and website hosting have been purchased for another year and we have a graphics design company starting work on the new website at no cost to us! Thank you Bob Peters! - Admins to manage our newer pages and those in progress including YouTube, Pinterest, and Google+ - Newsletter/Mailing list pages for signup for street team members and supporters Our future needs will include: - Areas such as legal representation to protect my interests and work and establishment as a non profit organization - Videographer for video production. I will seek out sponsorships, cross promotions, and volunteers to make happen. - Professional advertising including print media and radio spots. I will seek out sponsorships, cross promotions, and volunteers to make happen. - Dedicated office space for volunteers to help with promo and sending out street teaming supplies, marketing and more social media, etc... One of my personal goals which I feel will also benefit the campaign will be to relocate to a larger area/location where finding music and social media minded college students/interns or volunteers will be much easier and not an additional cost to our supporters. - Donated venue, talent, and related expenses for an annual live show/event that we are planning around TRARHOF induction ceremonies. Again, this is something that I will seek out sponsorships, cross promotions, and volunteers to make happen. So in a nutshell, this effort by the campaign will continue to grow with or without donations, but, we could do so much more and so much sooner with additional resources.
