So here’s the deal We buy a plot of land. Half the plot gets turned into a greenhouse The other half a restaurant style/ shop front/ workspace The greenhouse is run through robotics i.e. the open source FARMBOT what does this mean? Well…more fresh produce with less travel time and hard labour. What about the other half of the land? So here’s the catch Anyone can use the freshly grown produce BUT it must be cooked in the kitchen at initiative greenhouse (IGH) The idea… You can bring whatever products you like to help make your creations, but whatever excess you may have must be kept at IGH for the next person(s) to use. Furthermore, whatever dish you cook must be made in excess so that someone in need may enjoy your creations. Anyone aged over 18 (parental guidance required if under 18) may come to learn watch and create amazing dishes with fresh produce. You don’t pay a cent. If you enjoyed the experience you can donate money to the IGH to keep it running, helping buy seeds, quality soil and overall maintenance of IGH. The results… Not only do millennials learn how to cook, but they pay it forward with the excess food they make. The open space can be used by anyone to study, work, design or create! So... if you make a dish you can sell it priced at what you like so that other people may come and purchase it if they are hungry, whatever isn’t purchased at the end of the day gets donated (so there is no waste). what about the funds received? well... 90% of whatever money received will go straight to a charitable organisation while 10% will be used to keep IGH running :) the aim to franchise pop ups around Australia, to help rebuild and rejuvenate our healthy balanced lifestyle.
