In Loving Memory of Chi Tran – kids college fund
Organized by: John Tran
My dear brother Chi lost his battle with cancer on October 23, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda, and three sons, Calvin, Brandon and Justin.
Chi taught me the meaning of the word sacrifice. As our family immigrated to the U.S., leaving every worldly possession behind, my brother, being the eldest son, went to work immediately as an auto mechanic to support our family.
Working 14 hour days at back breaking work, Chi sacrificed his chance at an American education so that my two brothers, sister and I would have a chance to pursue that American dream. That incredible work ethic caused him to miss so many family events because he took on additional shifts and overtime to provide his three sons with more opportunities than he ever had. He worked through the fatigue and pain so often that by the time we caught his cancer it was already diagnosed as Stage IV.
To honor Chi’s life, we are creating a memorial college fund for the boys so that they may continue to pursue the opportunity for education that Chi always desired but never had.
Thank you for any support you can provide.
