On Tuesday, December 3, 2013, Washington & Lee University student, Kelsey Durkin, 21, tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident in Rockbridge County, Virginia.
Friends and family are deeply saddened by the loss of a bright and charismatic young woman. At Washington & Lee, Kelsey majored in biology and minored in poverty studies. With these interests in mind, she dedicated her time to public service programs such as Relay for Life and the Shepherd Higher Education Consortium on Poverty.
As a Shepherd Poverty intern, Kelsey brought tech education and leadership skills to underserved youth with CampInteractive (CI) where she will be remembered by students as a bright and energetic leader. Her passion for life and positive energy set and incredible model for students to follow. CI Executive Director, Michael Denton, fondly remembers Kelsey leading the students in song and dance, and her incredible ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
In loving memory of Kelsey, friends and family will be raising money to support CI.
