BENEFITING: City of Hope
EVENT DATE: May 10, 2014
William Wong was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in January 2010 - most people with this diagnosis live 18 months. He did everything he thought might help - like drastically changing his diet, starting various homeopathic regimens, and walking miles every week. Through his own efforts and those of the people at the City of Hope, he courageously battled the disease for over four years.
He was a hard working, athletic, kind, generous, friendly and funny man who earned the respect of everyone he knew. He will be missed, but he will forever be in our hearts.
William is survived by his wife Maria, son Jason, daughter Candice, and two grandchildren. This fundraiser will honor William's memory and support the people at the City of Hope who took care of him for so many years.
Funds raised in honor of William Wong will be directed to support the research of Dr. Karen Reckamp - to be used at her discretion.
