Byron was the coolest cat ever. He had a short tail, and he used to wag it just like a dog when he was happy, earning him the nickname Doggins. He never hissed or growled at other cats. He loved to cuddle with humans and felines alike. He knocked things off of counters and tables when he was bored, and he LOVED to play games.
On Monday, August 1, I lost Byron to Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), a disease for which there is currently no test, no treatment, no cure. It's 100% fatal. Losing my sweet boy has been hard, and I want to do everything I can to save future kitties and their people from this tragedy. I want to raise funds for SOCK FIP, a research center at UC Davis devoted entirely to finding solutions to the FIP puzzle.
