In need of emergency teeth pulled
Organized by: Heather Taylor
My husband is disabled and we live on a very limited income . He broke his back in 2002 and since then has not been able to work . He has been on several medications and had surgeries on his back .. He finally got his disability two years ago and since then his teeth are getting worse I have called Medicare and medicaid because he has both and they will not cover him having his teeth pulled and they are breaking off at the gum lines . just tonight eating dinner he had one break off . i have called every dentist and I finally found a denist in columbia that will do the teeth pulling and dentures there . and they the cheapest I have found .. And they will pull each tooth for 125 because they have to be surgically removed and they said the ones they can get out non surgically will only be 95 .. So we looking around 2000 to have them all pulled and him get dentures . I am worried that these bad teeth are gonna cause serious issues . He gets infections all the time and all his family doctor can do is give him antibotics and tell him he needs them out of his mouth .. I dont understand why medicare stop paying dor teeth extractions because infections in your mouth can effect so much of your health.. I am hoping to raise enough money that i can at least get the worst ones done first which there all bad . but any help would greatly appreciated. I usually would not do something like this but I am just to the point where I am so worried about this and hate seeing him in so much pain and not being able to eat . thank you for reading my situation.
