Innocent victim turned suspect
Organized by: Kristin Breedlove
What started out as an innocent honk of the horn when a light turned green turned into open fire on my parents. On March 1, 2016 at 3:23 pm on Mobile Hwy a man started shooting at my parents, Jerry and Joy Jordan. When the police arrived they put the man in handcuffs, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. My parents started getting treated like suspects, and the shooter as the victim. While my parents stood guarded by an officer on the side of the road they watched the shooter get released, give his statement with help of the "witness", get in his car, and drive away. Two days later my dad got arrested for assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Keep in mind my parents were the ones shot at. The cops came knocking on my parents go. My mom went to find my dad assuming they had some more questions. When she couldn't find him she looked out the window to see my dad in handcuffs. The "victim" stated he saw my dad hold up a gun and this is why he started shooting at them on a busy road in the middle of the day. My dad has never owned a gun in his life. Where is the gun? Apparently in a mysterious red truck that drove up and took it just before the cops showed. Does that make sense to you? Did I mention that in the same report there are two different reasons as to why he started shooting? Why hasn't this been questioned? My dad is the most amazing person I have ever met. He is loving, caring, and a very strong man. He has a strong case. He needs a strong lawyer to defend him not a public defender. My family doesn't have a lot of money. I'm reaching out to the community to get help keep this innocent man, son, brother, and father home. Please help us. Imagine if you were in this situation....wouldn't you want someone to help you? His family needs him.....I need him.....he's my dad.
