In Reach works with its students to make sure each one of them is college and career ready. This includes surrounding them with people who care and can help them successfully transition from one grade to the next. Whether it’s strengthening a student’s academic skills via our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) program or Literacy Club where we are using technology, or building their confidence and exposing them to the many available cultural resources, In Reach is making a positive impact. And while our evaluations and surveys support this claim, the most important way we know that we are having impact is when a student returns the following year to continue participating or when a student asks, “Will you be at our [new] school next year?” Support In Reach today and on #GivingTuesday. Your donation will allow us to purchase educational materials - interactive games and manipulatives - and support field trips for over 200 students participating in our afterschool programs. The school system provides very little funding for field trips and many of our students have not been to the Smithsonians or know the difference between the White House and the US Capitol when they see them and they live less than 20 miles from these and many other amazing educational and cultural institutions. Make a difference today and give. Thank you.
